Artist Series II: Meet Our Newest Designer, Amye Kurson of Ame & Lulu!

Artist Series II

We are so excited to announce our newest addition to the King George Shop and official launch of the Cabana Collection. Our newest designer, Amye Kurson has created a classic, yet feminine line of bags and accessories for the active woman. We have collaborated with her on her most popular beach & pool bags, wine totes, travel bags and a few other accessory bags to bring you another slice of function and beauty.

In 2003 Amye, an advertising executive at the time, was out golfing and realized the lack of stylish accessories for active women. She was immediately inspired to create something of her own and just like that, Ame & Lulu was born. By 2009, with several additions to what she was carrying, Ame & Lulu officially went global, with distribution in Japan. She has since been featured in none other than Oprah Magazine, Tennis Magazine and on The Today Show. Fast forward to 2018, and Amye is still personally designing each and every pattern in her studio. She is most inspired by the relaxed beaches of Cape Cod and her all-time favorite spot, The Breakers in Palm Beach. In recent years, she has scaled back on travel, working mainly outside the Boston area and raising her two daughters, Liv & Sloane who are 2.5 and 1 years old!

It's truly remarkable to get to know our vendors' stories and glimpse into all of the wonderful things they are doing. It's a wonder so many of them are moms, raising kids and running a business. So we asked Amye, what advice would she give to other women who are starting out their career? Her answer? "My advice is to really have a passion and do something you believe in because it becomes a large part of your life. It is far from a 9-5 job! To love what you do is crucial to being successful."

We couldn't agree more! We love giving female entrepreneurs another platform to support the business they are passionate about. We hope you love her bags as much as we do!Cabana 88 Beach Tote
